Default 2008 XL7 nasty smell from vents!

How do I get rid of the nasty smell (no it's not me) that comes in from the vents? It started a few weeks ago when we first turned on the AC, but now it stinks even with the AC off.
I know there's some filters, just don't know the location and how to do it.
Thanks

Do you have the owners manual? Everything is there.

Also check the floor and see if it's wet. Some XL7 tend to have leaks.

Ours became a little smelly at times. It is recommended to run the air without AC before you shut it down. That makes a difference. So, therefore, what we did during the summer was before parking, I would shut the AC off, and run just air. This would help dry up the air box. This is the same thing that I do in our 2002 and our RAV4.

Regards,

Ivan
