Smile XL7 pics

Hello everyone, it's been a while since I have written in the forum, here are some pics that promised sometime ago. My '07 XL7 Luxury did not come with fog lights and did not come with roof rack cross bars and so the roof rails were black. The first thing I did was to change the headlights to (Blue) and also installed (Blue) fog lights. I bought chrome tape and put it on the roof rails, bought front grills and installed them, bought chrome mirror, chrome door handles, hood protector, sunroof wind deflector, window visors, splash guards and chrome vents. Rims are hold for the moment due to a little bundle of joy that is on the way. Let me know what you guys think. thanks

Nice, did you buy all that at a local shop, or online, if so, which online store.

I had some lights put on before but, I is was not very happy so I decided to do it myself. Basically what I did was buy Pilot Driving Lights Kit (PL-2088 and changed the stock bulbs to Pilot Xenon Bulbs (XB-H3BP). First thing you need to do is cut out the plastic that is in the fog light opening. Make sure not cut all the plastic from behind the opening, leave a little so you can use it later. The kit comes with double sided tape so I peeled away one side of the tape and stuck it on the top of the light (housing). Peeled away the other side and slide the light into the opening and adjusted the height of the light beam. Using some of the plastic that was left behind the opening, I used a screw to hold the light in place. I will post some pics later to show what I did. Thanks

Thanks! Looking forward to the pics.

Can you also explain what you did with the wiring?

They look really good.

Hey Castle, Most of the stuff I bought for my '07 XL7 was on ebay. The Pilot driving lights, Pilot Xenon bulbs and Chrome tape were bought at Auto Zone. I will post pics on how I installed the lights and wiring this holiday weekend.

Ahhh, so you are one of the many drivers that likes to blind me with your damn blue lights... they should be illegal IMO!
