Default XL-7 Limited Chrome wheel corrosion

Ok, I was out washing my vehicle yesterday and noticed that my front right wheel actually has some bubbling on the inside piece of the wheel in the chromed section. Now, I just bought this xl-7 a month ago but am really bummed out at this point about my purchasing experience.

Does anyone know if this is covered under the warranty? The dealer has been so rude thus far and I really don't want to go in to talk to them unless I'm certain something can be done about it. Let me know what you all think.

The vehicle is a 2008 xl-7 limited.

I would say that this is a warranty issue but if the dealer has been rude, can't you try another dealer?

That's what I was thinking too. However, seeing as how the current dealer still owes me some things from purchase (there was a scratch on the hood and a small dent in the fender, these issues yet to be resolved) I am going to go in and see what they say. I just feel nervous about it seeing as how the finance manager was so pushy about the extended warranty and telling me how the manufacuter's warranty doesn't cover anything.

As far as actual warranty work goes, who makes the call as to whether or not it's covered. The dealership or Suzuki?

Suzuki Auto

The information here is vague but you should have a Warranty Information Booklet that should cover your questions.

Corrosion is covered.

I have had my wiper blades changed under warranty but ultimately it falls under the dealers discretion before you contact Suzuki Customer Service directly if you are not satisfied.

I recomend taking good pictures of your XL7 defects for future reference or in case you need to contact Suzuki.

It will be a lost cause because the wheels will just do this again. I had mine replaced and the new ones did the same thing. Chrome is just not durable if you drive it in the rain and snow/salt. I have tried several prtectants on the market with no avail.

Your rims are covered under the bumper to bumper warranty. I had a 2006 Grand vitara prior to my XL7 and I had lug nuts that tarnished within the first 6 months. The dealer replaced them with no questions asked. 2 years later my rims lost all the coating on them and became all pitted from the 2008 winter. I just traded it in last week when I purchased my XL7. My warranty had expired for the rims but the dealership informed that they are covered if it is within the warranty period. I am planning on purchasing 4 cheap rims and 4 winter tires and avoid using the good rims in the winter.
