Default Supercharger +

Have you ever thought of installing a turbo-kit or supercharger on your XL? Can anybody check this out, as I can hardly do this? If it's a GM's engine template, there should be options from Vortech etc...

This engine is turbocharged from the factory on some applications applications. Maybe you can get all the hardware from the dealer. It looks like gas is still cheap in Ukraine! good luck.

The LP9 is a 2.8 L turbocharged version is used for the Saab 9-3 and other GM vehicles. It produces 255 hp (190 kW) EEC at 5500 rpm and 258 lb·ft (350 N·m) between 1800 and 5000 rpm. It has the same bore and stroke as the naturally-aspirated LP1, however the compression ratio is reduced to 9.5:1. There is also other variants available, with 230 hp (172 kW) EEC and 280 lb·ft (380 N·m) EEC. GM Powertrain Sweden (Saab Automobile Powertrain) has been responsible for the turbocharging of the engine. The engine is built in Port Melbourne, Australia.

Applications:

2007 Cadillac BLS
2006 Opel Vectra
2006 Opel Signum
2006 Saab 9-3

Man, thanks for that! The thing is that gas (A-95, a bit more higher octane than your "regular", 87+) costs $1,3 for one litre (1/3 gallon) so it seems not that cheap, eah? . The problem with dealer - 2G XL-7 is not officially imported in Ukraine, being American/Canada model and imported only by "grey" dealers that only sell.. That's why I was asking about a specific model that would definitely fit - no chance to play with picking out.. Just for fun - XL in Luxury package has a badge of $45K. Still smiling?

And Nissan Rogue that I was also considering is at the same price in top package being smaller and with less power.. Anyway, should you find any info on the subject, please drop me a link. Thanks!
