Well just got my car back and had installed the AVIC-Z2 (onsale just a few hundred more than the D3.
All steering controls work, Sirius Works, Nav works, But, my mic aint working and its plugged in.
Im guessing My cable is pinched. Blue Tooth works but no one can hear me..

I will compare what I had as far as the Mitsu Nav (MMCS) and the Pioneer in a bit..

Sweet, I hope you figure out the mic problem. I love D3 it has worked great. I have added a HDtv Digital converter box on the AV-1 side and it works great when on the open hwy or sitting and waiting on the wife while she is shopping.

Found it, it popped out and I plugged it into the wrong hole, so figured to move it to the right one all works now...

Any know if the suzuki has a powered antenna amp, my AM is low, I mean low signal. I think it deals with maybe the blue wire, Like to know by weekend, I will take it out and check.

Ok, MMCS vs AVIC-Z2.

MMCS Lot less wiring.. Has interface to accy stuff.
Z2 Lots of wires, but more stuff to add for fun and play

GPS Z2 hands down.. Update more often, Hard drive on Ebay and can increase size as well. Push the voice command button and talk to the system. Kool feature since the now works. And if you have the rear view camera, watch as you drive in Nav and nav as well. There is so much to play with and to listen too.

BT (blue tooth).. Z2 again.. Easy connect to phone and all features work and I mean features here. (still learning here as well, telephone book is in the system, I think I have to teach it my voice or something.. Dunno.

Sirius Radio (XM has traffic but The dog is the dog) Ok, MMCS for display and band usage, 4 out of 3 available (unless i messed up programming it). Maybe its me, but I got use to the MMCS there.

AM radio.. Ahh, bad until I find out what it is..
FM radio.. Good, strong (thats the confusing here part)

DVD playback.. Its DVD, but it is good and easy to alter if you know what I mean..

CD Good, like it..

Music Server.. Better update avail than the MMCS.. Besides holds 10 meg vs 6meg..
Only got 2 in it, so nothing about naving yet.

MP3.. Good.. easier I think..

The EQ is great, better choices.. has punch (had RF system in outtie) even as a stock radio with no amp.. Thinks its rated 50 x4 = 200w

Effects.. Great effects, beats MMCS selections.

Plusses.. You can change the screens backgrounds and even inport them.. Setup the brite/contrast etc on all choices (DVD/CD/NAV/CAM/AUX's etc). TILT the screen for better viewing.. MMCS did not have this feature, And sure wish it did for sun glare.

The radio has so much, It will take me lots to get to know it but, I will post other stuff too..

OlPapa, what did you pay for your Z2? I'm also getting one. I'm also getting rid of the rear compartment and putting my 10" sub in it's place. My zuki didn't come with the factory sub. I'll post pics when I get it back from the shop.

about $1750 installed.. nearly 4 hours of work..

Thats the Z2, Sirius, BT and my own backup camera on license plate.
Also the interface for Lan, Steering wheel and what ever else was needed..
It comes in a kit now with the BT and Camera.

Installations was at 250 and sub off tax (6.45%)

Yes all worked, I did have to program them twice before they all would work.

How did you remove the whole passenger side rear panel where the jack compartment is, in order to route the rear view camera wires to the front of the vehicle????? This seems like a tough job
