Hi All:
About 2 weeks ago I had my engine light come on and ended up having to replace the upstream oxygen sensor. The car ran really rough after replacement and stalled whenever I came to a stop. Then we realized we had a bad battery - replaced. Car began to run better - engine light finally went off. We ordered the downstream oxygen sensor assuming that we would have to replace. We have not yet replaced it.
The engine idle is still running barely above 0 when not moving. Now when I turn on the AC while stopped - it makes the car stall. When running and air is turned on, there is an obvious loss of power but it doesn't make the car stall.
Can anyone tell me what might be going on here? I've heard that the throttle body would need to be cleaned, I also heard that the ac compressor clutch could be the issue....etc., etc. But the car has had this low idle since the engine light came on weeks ago and the stalling when the ac is put on is more recent.
Any help in diagnosing would be much appreciated.
