Gentex GENK2 on 2009 GV?

I have an auto-dimming mirror on my Skoda Superb and driving my wife's 2009 SZ5 on these dark UK nights has made me realise how much I take it for granted. I have looked around and can get a Gentex GENK2 directly from a UK supplier.

So the next step is to find out if it is possible to fit this mirror in a 2009 SZ5. I found a list of cars that showed the GV up to 2005 as being OK but that does not help me much as I have no idea if the mirror changed from 2006.

Has anyone fitted one of these in a later GV?

If they can be fitted is there anything I need to be aware of?

The Gentex will work with an adapter for the windshield mount. The Gentex uses a "wedge" mount, and the GV has a "cam-lock" mount. So, with the adapter, a Gentex mirror and a standard 2-wire harness it will work. I have one in my 2010 GV. If I ever have to replace my windshield, I will have a wedge mount installed and then the mirror will be a direct fit. eBay is your friend for all the parts you will need for this mod.
