I found this seller on ebay while searching for FSM's. Seems to have a good selection at decent prices. Does anyone know how much difference there is from 09 to 10 in the Grand Vitara as he does not offer one for my 10 but has some for the 06 to 09 vintage?

I've asked him if it covers the 3.2l V6 motor as that would include my 2010 GV.

Here's hoping it does as i want a manual for mine too.

I would be careful if he's claiming it to be a PDF. The only service manual I managed to find that covers JB632 (the 3.2l V6) is in HTML (with javascript). The PDF versions were all older (for the 2.7 V6).

DBO, you are very correct.

It covers the 2.7l V6 but not the 3.2l.

I have requested a refund so will see how good they are with that side of things.

Where did you get/find the 3.2l service manual?

I want/need something that will help me change a belt, hose and other stuff so that I can learn what to do prior to heading to the Cape next year. I can't believe that for a 2010 model i can not find anything suitable, or reasonably priced or both.

I thought the '09 model year saw various revisions to the nose, rear suspension, NHV, engines etc. So unless I'm wrong, the split between '09 and '10 doesn't make sense.

Thanks for checking into it Davidy. Maybe I read the link wrong but it doesn't seem to cover the 2.4 motor either? Perhaps this is the european version?

I haven't found one with the 2.4 however I stumbled on parts of a Kizashi FSM which has the same basic engine.

Although the 2.4 has balance shafts and VVT on the intake, it doesn't have an oil heat exchanger like the M16. I get the impression it was developed from an older block.

I owned an '07 X-Trail for a few months and the 2.5 four in that was a superb engine with all desired features and a dual thermostat for fast warm-up.
