Got mine replaced with one specifically designed to fit the SGV. Costed me less than US$ 400
shipped via UPS from HongKong to Brunei. Almost looked OEM. Even displays "S " logo at
start- up.
Only shortcomings as follows;
1) seek button on steering wheel is giving opposite comand ie when you press the top button its actually skips to previous track rather than skip up to the next track .. ... but this can be reprogrammed.

2) slight unlevelled fitting at the top part but almost unnoticeable.. ... need to put washers at
the top mounting points to level it up.

3) panel lightings are designed for the facelifted model due red while my SGV is the earlier ones
where the panel lightings are predominantly green. .. ..button illuminitations can be changed
between red, blue or purple.

Tested it with 4th gen iPod Touch, it charges the ipod and I can control it at the screen.
Tested the bluetooth with my Android HTC Desire HD , the call function works and I can also
control my audio player through the headunit. The DVD player and radio works fine.
TV tuner works fine. ... .need to purchase antenna separately Reverse camera input works fine.. .. need to purchase reverse camera separately. USB in and Mini SD card slot works fine. Quite a straight forward installation, just "plug and play" and had run the USB and iPod /iPhone connection to the pocket just below the A/C control panel.. .. wanting maintain the "clean"/ uncluttered factory look.
Wholesale 7 " HD car DVD player for Suzuki Grand Vitara with GPS BT RDS IPOD TV

I don't think that is within the Mods power, but I'd be happy to edit for you. Even clean up this thread of individual "fluff" posts if you'd like and do some consolidating of info, to make it smaller / easier to read. Just PM your edit needs to me.

I earlier "sticky'd" the fuel gauge and valve adjustment threads, as they were so popular too.

Jason
check this out....
http://www.suzuki-forums.com/2g-2006...ailable-3.html

because the total weight is over 100kg the shipping is a lilbit expensive, therefore the total price in Calgary is $1250 including all tools need for installing it and hardware. This price is a complete kit for all plates.

Don't forget about GIZ International's supplier for skid plates. the cost and shipping price is much lower. I'm getting my front plates for $100 US! The site is fts4x4.com/en/products/

I hope this site helps some of us North American GV owners. And if ppl are interested i am able to import the skid plates (front, transfer case, diff.)

The company that makes these is:
Sandgrabba Mats (Rubber/PVC)

I purchased these and have been happy with them for the best part. Feedback I have is:
- they are very slippery for the first week or two. Once some wear gets to them they become grippy.
- the carpet on the centre console is the only unexposed section. Not a deal breaker but I wished it extended up higher on that side but they don't because there is no real way to secure it.

I would buy it again if I had to, and pay the price cause they are great.

Default FTS 4x4 Not Responding About Skid Plates

I have tried to "inquire" having these skid plates shipped to Ontario, but have been getting no responses. Apparently they ship all over the world, including quite a bit to Greenland. If they ship to Greenland, than they must ship to Canada. Has anyone had any success with them shipping to Canada?

Currently I am in Russia and can ship a whole set it you wish including ON...which is way easy, cuz it can be done thru private shipping company door-to-door.

Yes I have received skid plates from fts. I live in BC and I got my order 4 days after placing my order. They always were very quick responding to me but I always made sure to email them during business hours over there in Taiwan. The skid plates are very good quality and very good service with faster shipping times than sending a letter within the province. Worth every penny
