Default What happens when the battery is disconnected

I disconnected the battery for half an hour on my 06 v6 while investigating installation of an alarm (More on that later).

After reconnecting I found the following
1) Clock reset
2) Trip distance reset
3) Traction Control Light flashing
4) Fuel consumption meter reset to km/l
5) Engine/Gearbox performance different
6) Radio lost preset stations

The traction control light had me worried until I drove a few metres. Obviously needed to have the wheels turn to check the sensors.

I am interested to see how the engine/gearbox performance goes.

Anyone else know of anything else that gets reset by disconnecting the battery?

I forgot to plug the big plug in the left kick panel back in when I was pulling a power cable for an amp, and the gearbox turned to default emergency mode, and the engine light came on... I wonder if you forgot to plug something in...

AfterI plugged everything back in, all was well and merry, and back to the way it was before..

Auto as in if u unlock the rear door and it locks itself? Might be a bigger problem if things like that not working, I know with putting a new battery in I had a little trouble with the auto close and movement of my sunroof but after few minutes of opening and closing it works itself out again, I've had to do this each time I disconnected the battery. My advice is when reconnect new battery give car little time maybe to recabobulate

Default Thanx Helldamned

I have those little buttons on the doors that you press to unlock the doors, sinse my replacing the battery, those, and the remote functions dont work (keyless entry and start I think is what its called). I have to use the key for everything. I didnt know if there's a reset or something...ya know - "an easy answer" instead of my run on "there is no easy answer" lately. Thanx for the reply...nice new ride by the way!!!!
