Engine light? check gas cap!

well, my engine light came on and the cruise control would not come on. i went to the auto parts store to do the On Board Diagnostics. turns out, my gas cap was not fully tightened. so i tightened it and everything was fine.

As someone who has left a gas cap at the filling station in the past (no, not the GV--before the days of tethered caps), this might be a good thing!
