I have to admit, that matte black painted lower part of the headlight is the only difference between OEM and non OEM. I am also planning to open it up and have that part painted......as soon as I can find a replacement plastic lens.....as mine had started to turn a bit yellowish.

Ciao!

IF not for the DRL, it would almost be a "plug and play" affair. I only spent about US$300.....for the total full HID set up....comprising of main, high and foglight/floodlight.!!!!!

Ciao!

Hola Amigo, for the low I would suggest you to have 4300K, this is the OEM and max of light output on the road.
3200K is yellow, so for fog it will work, however as I would be you living in Bogota, I will use H9 halogen bulbs, They produce 2200lumens, it is almost the same as 3200K HID. For your high beams you might install separate HID kit or retrofit your headlights with Bi-xenon projectors then you will have HID on low, HID on low and high + halogen on High. Roughly for Bi-xenon you are looking around $600 to spend only for parts. You can also retrofit xenon projectors on your high`s, the lexus projectors will work fine. If you need advice check out my cardomain pages about retroffiting or ask questions.
You have a choice go with HID kits or OEM. Note: OEM wont work with your HID kits, so before buying something make sure you know what do you want.

Difference betwen halogen and HID buls is huge, however your fog lights run h11 bulbs. H11 is almost the same as H9, however the lightoutput from h9 is much better: 2200 lumen vs 970 lumen, which is equal to 3200K HID bulb. You will need just cut small little plastic inside the plastic holder and you will have almost the same output like HID with out spending lots of $$. Espesially HID wont work in fogs. But is it your choice of course.

To install HID bi-xenon projector you will need to bake your headlights at 325 degree and open them up, after you switch projectors which would be also custom made, meaning you have to be handy, you bake them again and seal it. After you do aiming. Not too hard job if you know how to do it be carefull, dont overbake them otherwise you will spend $$ for buying new set.

For fog lights you need to buy fog kit, then do installation (work for 5 mins). make sure you have fog light harness on your car first.
