Exclamation Audio Problems?? Read This

I hope most of you with sound problems READ THIS!!!. I contacted my dealer here in Ottawa, Ontario,Canada. I got very good after market speakers that are compatible with Suzuki's radio. Believe me. The major problem is this. My gv is a 2008 with only 3,600km and is 1 month old today. I discovered my sound problem and many others like you, is not the radio. All Suzuki cars and trucks come with 4ohm speakers at 25 watts. That's not bad, but they are paper coned and the plug wires in the doors are not water protected properly. We replaced the speakers with 4ohm, 4 way (has woofer and tweeter) for great high and low range sound at a max watt of 200 made of water proof material.[ ARAMID-FIBER REINFORCED WOOFER, BUTYL RUBBER SURROUND ] ---that's to be more spacific... I paid only $60.00 Can. for each pair. YOU SHOULD HEAR HOW AWESOME THE RADIO SOUNDS NOW. I have more bass from the speakers than from the sub-woofer under the seat. Suzuki radios have have capacity to pump these 200w speakers no problem. NO KIDDING!! My mirrors vibrate at volume set at 30 with the BASS set at-0 and the TREBLE set at- +4. THE SOUND IS NOT ONLY LOUD BUT HIGHER FREQUENCIES SOUND IS SUPER CLEAR. No distortion, no scratchy sound when I listen to CLUB dance music and heavy alternative. My wife likes Michel Buble and his voice and music is CRISP. So take my word. If you do want to change your low quality speakers, make sure you take the WATER out of the speaker wires...NO KIDDING AGAIN. The dealer told me to tell you and for all of you to contact your dealer...But don't get your speakers from Suzuki and you don't have to spend money on a new radio. I find their radio is a 9 out of 10. The speakers Suzuki will put in your car or truck will be the sameand they will be the same problem. The guy I talked to at the dealer said since there are many of us that suffer from SOUND-ITIS that they MIGHT put a recall on those water absorbing circles in the door. By the way, the size of speaker is 6.5" in front and back, and I recommend you to find 4-way speakers that are 4ohms for compatability to the radio. YOU SHOULD HEAR WHAT YOUR MISSING...

That is AWWWESOME!! I love music very much. All I listen to in the truck is my cd's. I still don't know how to put pictures up to show my ride. I have CHROME that gets me HOME, and it's NOT parts you can purchase. I made them myself. It is unique. EVERYBODY compliments me for what I did. What is shocking to many is to do it, you can buy the stuff in the store and I spent $85 for the chrome trim on your windows, rear lights, mirrors, front bumper, rear window, spare tire cover and some nice unique touches inside also, and on the cup holder button and the small storage space button in front of the shifter. At home here we also have the SX4, 4 door 2008. Daughters car....Take care and drive slower so people can here you coming. I love it alot. More than the 1974 ford F250 Monster truck I used to own..the gv sure is cheaper on gas too and my wife can drive it.

There is the "Manage Attachments" button for uploading files. When you press Reply, Reply to Topic window opens, scroll it down a bit and you'll see the button. If you still have problems e-mail you photos to me and I'll post them for ya.

I'd love too see your chrome! I have chrome vents on the sides of the hood, and I ordered chrome mirror covers.

Default here comes the chrome

Thank you very much, Taras, for the tip on how to upload. I think it worked well. Sorry it took so long. Got busy up here. Hope you like. Believe me, all this chrome comes from 20' chrome stripping rolls that I bought at Canadian Tire store for $15.99 each. I put 5 rolls and had none waisted and none to spare. It comes in different thicknesses. Even the tail pipe was $14.99 at the same store compaired to the dealers price.

Hey Gary,

Nice ride. We just got GV JX Last Friday. So far I am very impressed with it as I am a GMC man.

Where did you buy your GV from? 417 Suzuki? Where did you get your speakers from? You can pm me if you want.

Thanks

Marc

Thanks for the tip Gary.
BTW, what make are the OEM speakers?
I am thinking of changing mine for the Sony 6.5" 4-way (XSV1642-A) which are on sale for $49.99 @ Best Buy.
Are these any good?

Personally, I don't like Sony, but $50 bucks is a good price, and they are deffinately better then stock. You can't go wrong here.
