I'm also curious to know how many quarts will drain out.

As far as a source for Mobil 3309 ATF look here....

Mobil ATF 3309 Case of 12 quarts

The FSM says 2.5 litres will come out the drain plug, but the capacity is 7.2 litres.

I'm reviving this old thread with an info update.

I did a 15K mile drain and refill of the automatic transmission. 3.9 US quarts came out via the drain plug. Refilled with Mobil 3309 ATF.

Is anyone out there using anything besides the Suzuki ATF and Mobil 3309? Is the Mobil 3309 same as Suzuki ATF or better? Looking to go to synthetic. Does this transmission have a filter?

See my responses in your thread concerning synthetic fluids.

I'm not sure if this transmission has a "true" filter or not. Older Aisin-Warner automatics had a screen type filter that was generally not changed unless the unit required a rebuild.
