hey Rescue55

I am very interested in 09 SGV. Was wondering these 5 trims will release globally or just specific countries. Not sure which trims we'll be getting in Australia

Cheers

you mean 0-60 in 9.3. the GV does 0-100 in about 27-30 seconds. if it did 0-100 in 9.3 seconds we would have the ultimate car.

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned the fuel consumption ratings but according to the Japanese promotional video they are: 3.2L - 9.2 km/L and for the 2.4L is 10.6 km/L for the automatic and 11 km/L for the manual transmission.

I'm not sure how the Japanese test their fuel economy ratings, say compare to Transport Canada or the US EPA, but if they are similar to the EPA's then the fuel economy has improved slightly.

For the same Japanese fuel economy (10.15 fuel) test ratings, the fuel economy of 3.2L & 2.4L are not improved!

3.2L 5AT 4WD is 9.2km/L

If I'm not mistaken, all modern engines are DOHC. The two new SGV engines ARE VVT:

Grand Vitara (Escudo) V6
3.2 liter Engine: (N32A) DOHC 24V VVT V6
Power: 224 PS @ 6200 rpm
Torque: 284 Nm @ 3500 rpm
Transmission: 5-speed auto

Grand Vitara (Escudo) 2.4
2.4 liter Engine: (J24 DOHC 16V VVT l4
Power: 166 PS @ 6000 rpm
Torque: 225 Nm @ 4000 rpm
Transmissions: 4-speed auto and 5-speed manual
