Exclamation Keyless Remote entry battery change

Hi Guys,

I bet someone around here had to change the batteries from the Keyless Remote entry system. I'm refering to the key itself, that has attached two buttons: Lock and Unlock.

For some reason (I presumed the batteries) the control is not responding sharply as before. I had to press really hard on the buttons to lock and unlock. I unscrewed the key, but I couldn't find any watch-like batteries; the buttons are completely sealed. And it's not dirty, because I cleaned the buttons sides and surface.

Anybody know how to change batteries here? or what's going on with this one?

Best of lucks!

Milton

Do you have the smartpass key or just the regular one ? The smartpass has a notch at the bottom and if you use a coin, you can pop the remote in half and get to the battery.

You are absolutely right! There's a notch at the bottom of the remote unit. You have to first unscrew the Suzuki cover, then use 10c coin to pop the remote in half and voilá! you can see the battery as well as the IC from the unit.

I have the regular one, not the smartpass and now I'm able to change battery. Thank you very much!
