Hi Tim,

I am waiting on delivery of a BLT370 Bluetooth Handsfree unit and was wondering What "custom interface" you used for it and where the Telephone mute wire is? (is it a purple wire?).

I tried creating your aux in cable for my 07/2008 Suzuki Swift Sport (Australian market) with a factory stock clarion CLRC21 headunit (with no "cd\aux" button just "CD") but i got nothing?.........
I checked the plug connections and all seemed fine? maybe I fried the resistor while soldering it to the wires, will retry tomorrow.

any help with the BLT370 would be great.

To enable the Telephone interface, you can use the DIY aux interface as start point, then wire the telephonemute cable to the trigger tie (the one at the lower position on the, and keep th 1.5ohm resistor that bridges both trigger ties).

See the image attached, all that you need is to connect the pin 6 (trigger 2) pin to the BTL370's phonemute wire.

Follow this tutorial to build your own aux cable Login then wire (keeping the resistor) the trigger 2 to the BLT370 telephone mute trigger.

When you receive or place a call the blt370 powers on the radio (if its off), or pause the mp3/cd player and switch to the aux input, if you use your phone as mp3 stereo library (as me) you only need to press the cd button to select AUX on the HU, and to play your mp3 on yourphone using your headset profile, consider thar some phones doesnt support well BLT370's features as AVRC, and Headphone profile, as the blackberrys that only support HF profile (but also sown other profiles), also you need to disable the cellphones integrated hf echo cancelation, it compeetes with blt370's echo cancelation and causes heavy interference.

Hey Mago,

Will keep trying to work out why my aux cable isn't working yet? once I've done that I'll
try the phonemute wire on the trigger, cheers.

I saw further back in this thread or maybe it was a link to another thread? some one had connected the 2 far left pins together and got "Telephone" on the display instead of "AUX" anyone know if this has any merit?

Its an error to connect the trigger pins, you must to connect via a 1.5K ohm resistor as on the diagram ( I suggest you using a motherboard usb connector for this wiring), whe you connect those pins via the 1.5kohm you get the AUX input enabled, then the thelephone trigger wire from the BLT370 must be connected to the trigger 2 pin, to enable the telephone input funtion (it puts the HU in mono, display TELEPHONE, powerup, pause etc).

some peole reported the ground pin swaped to the rigth audio pin, so you must to discard this is your case.

Be confident, I have done this setup on friends on my coutry (2008up GV's only), many times w/o issue.

Mago is it possible I have fried the resistor while trying to solder it to a wire on my first attempt at putting the aux cable together? I'm gonna try again without soldering to test the resistor works. The guy I bought the resistor from gave me something that is a "1K5ohm 1/2 Watt 1%", is this the correct resistor?

yes 1k5 = 1.5 K Ohm
