Default AUX cable

Yes it will work on the '06 GV, '06 XL_7 and the '06 Aerio. I have tested the cable in all of these models and it functions perfectly.
Yes, PAYPAL is ok.

Here is a link to the Aerio forum with more details:

Please e-mail or PM me for details.

Default connecor location

If you have a 2006 Grand Vitara, the connector is taped to a wiring harness just to the right of the glove box.

If you have a 2006 XL_7, the connector is taped above the glovebox, up near the airbag.

If you have a 2006 Aerio, it is taped to a harness back between the heater and the ECM.

It is a white, 6 pin connector with 2 rows of 3 pins (only 5 are used)

Cheers,

Tim

Tim,
I cannot for the life of me find this connector on my 06 XL-7.
Do i need to take apart the glove box to see it? Any pics?

Thanks

You probably need to remove the glove box to get to it.

I had to pop my box out and it was located just to the right.

Easy location! heh

Ramjaane,

Pop the damper off the right side of the glovebox door, you can then squeeze the sides of the glovebox and it will open far enough to flip down out of the way.

Now look straigh up towards the airbag module (metal cylinder), the plug is taped to the harness that runs along the dash support tube.

Check out this picture..

This picture was taken laying on the floor, looking straight up through the glovebox opening

Hope that helps,

Tim

I'm not for certain but if it is anything like the 06 GV then this is what you do.

- First you open the Glove box.

- Then probably on the right side of the box there should be a little cylinder piece connect to the box yo need to pull that off the the side.

- Then sqeeze the top of the glove box inward towords each other untill you can pull the glove box out.

This may not be exact because i dont know for sure. but this is how the 06 GV works.
