I agree with Max, go with something engineered for the vehicle, especially if its a daily driver. The wrong springs can be downright dangerous.
I've used two different methods on two different Trackers:
On my 1999 2 dr I went with the coil spacers with strut spacers from Low Range Off road/suspension
On my 2001 4 dr, I went with the Old Man Emu springs and struts from Rocky-Road. The OME springs and struts were much more expensive, but I actually liked the spacer setup better. The spacers gave me a full two inches of lift, but the springs gave me a little less. When I used the spacers, I replaced the struts with KYBs at the same time and liked the ride better than the OME setup.
Either of these methods require the use of Camber bolts to properly align. Using a combination of the springs with the spacers would probably require both strut bolts to be replaced with the Camber bolts. I had very little adjust left using the one camber bolt with the spacers, but it aligned perfectly after and no wierd tire wear resulted.
The couple of inches was all I needed to fit 225-75-15 Destination ATs and reduce the use of the skid plate on my way to my fishing spots.
I would think using both the longer springs and spacers would require the use of a spring compressor to get it all back together. There is a lot to take off and put back together to get at the springs, but the second go around was much easier than the first! Rocky-Road and Low range links below.
