I have searched and cannot find details on how to lock the front diff acuator. Please help.
Right now there isn't that much detail - Zukiworld might have a little more than here, so try a search over there - the guy who did it uses the same handle (Rally_T-115) both here & there - you could also try sending him a PM.
When he originally did the mod he did not take pictures, but, he crushed one of the tye-wraps and has since done it over, so hopefully he took pictures this time.
Essentially you need to get the "third member" or diff carrier out of the axle and then slide the clutch over and slip the tye-wraps in between it and the actuator itself.
Don't forget to install free-wheeling hubs if you go this route.
When I took the front diff apart, I found a previous repair. Someone had welded the actuator. The welds broke, That is why when I first bought the GV the 4wd worked. Then it stopped working. I wonder why the welds broke, how much pressure is there? How could tie wraps hold it?
