Default Changing spark plugs - 2001 Grand Vitara

I've decided to try changing my spark plugs but can't find a good illustration online that shows the location of the plugs, what you have to remove to get at them, etc. The only manuals they have at the parts store are shrink-wrapped, and I don't want to spend $20 just to find out there's no relevant information there.

Does anyone know of an online how-to for this?

I haven't tried to replace plugs in an engine set-up like this before. Last time I tried was my GMC pickup where you just followed the wires and found the plugs. I probably sound like a dope, but there you go!

I've got a 2001 with the 6 cylinder motor.

Thanks for any help.

On my 99 you remove the black plastic covers, then pull each plug wire/coil boot off, then use a long extension to reach down in and loosen/unscrew each plug. If you don't have a grip socket, use a piece of rubber fuel line/hose to reinstall the new stick the end of the plug into the end of the hose, lower hose into head, turn hose to get plug started, remove hose and then tighten with your socket and extension. Should be about the same on your 01.
Say Hello to my leetle friend!
