I have a 2010 SLS with CVT. I live in snow country, so I bought a second set of wheels with snow tires. Of course, after I put the snow wheels on, the TPMS light on the dash started flashing. So I bought 4 new sensors for the new wheels ($200). Had the sensors installed, and the dash light was still flashing. Took it to the tire shop and they "reset" the sensors, but the TPMS light did not go off on the dash. I took it to the dealer and $50 later, the light was off. So now it's spring. I put my stock wheels back on at the TPMS light returns. I don't want to pay another $50 to the dealer to reset the TPMS, so I buy my own sensor reset tool ($80). You point it at the tire, push a button and it tells the sensor in the tire to send a signal to the computer in the car. Except, you have to put the car in "learn mode" first.
On other Suzuki models (I have two SX4's) you can put the vehicle in learn mode by pressing the driver's side door button. I've tried the same method on my Kizashi and it doesn't work!
Sorry for the long post... here's the question. Does anyone know how to put a Kizashi into TPMS learn mode without a trip to the dealer? The owner's manual does not give instructions.
Thanks.
