Default 2007 Swift - Fuel consumption

Hi,
My 2007 Swift's (auto) fuel consumption seems to be unreasonably high - 10L/100 KM or 23.5 MPG (this is in the city without the AC)

Could you please suggest remedies. Would a change in the ATF be of any help?

Thanks.
Ashish.

This is normal for these cars. I bought a 2008 swift and it sucks gas back like crazy. I owned a 1994 Ford Thunderbird with a V-6 before this and it used approx the same amount of gas.

Don't listen to that idiot.

Mine is around 7.7l/100km A/C ON permanently with 35 degC outside temperature, average city driving, no highway driving at all.

I would like to know more about your driving conditions.

I'm really surprised that you get such a bad mileage out of yours.

I'm assuming that yours is also the 1.5 auto?

yeah it's a 1.6 L auto : the driving conditions are not bad at all... i guess unlike your vehicle the swift, pontiac - wave, and the chevy - aveo in canada are identical and assembled in korea by GM Daewoo - and is not the real suzuki.

Oh man, that's no good.

I feel sorry for you!

If you can get hold of the real thing, I can highly recommend it. Its a fun little car.
