Why cant I have factory Cruise Control?

Hey guys
Just purchased a brand new 09 Swift Sport, and am wondering if anybody could give me any insights as to why the dealer will not fit the factory cruise control option (That has its controls in the opposite spoke of the steering wheel to the audio controls)

Fine on all models except the sport?

Is this because of the 1.6L engine as apposed to the 1.5L in the other models?

The dealer refuses to give me a logical reason, simply telling me that aftermarket ones are available but not the factory one. This to me doesn't make much sens. And obviously i don't want the un-attractive aftermarket specials with the strange under steering wheel paddle or extra steering column stick style.

So yeah anyway top of the range car why cant i have something as simple as cruise control? enlighten me please?


Next question is Can i purchase the Manual Upgrade kit 990AA-02115-P03, and Cruise Control Kit 990AA-02115-003 and fit them to my sport myself??

Have a look on RedlineGTi.com - Home of the Suzuki Swift GTi (ssgti). There is someone who has managed to install it on their sport from memory, just do a search of the forums.
