Sorry for the delayed response, I have been busy with work. I still cannot find the plug I have attached some photos of the back of the unit. Was your connector next to the CeNet plug on the back of the headunit like in the screenshot posted earlier? or was it on an external connector?

Thank you so much for your help. This is driving me mad
The connector is clearly missing on yours, I dont see it anywhere.

And yes, generally its right next to the cnet plug.

Hi Griff,

Thanks for taking a look at it for me. I also just noticed this connector taped up amongst the wiring loom: <see attachment>

This is different to any of the other connecters I have seen around the internet. Is it possible this could be for an aux in?

Cheers for any help,

I dont recognize that connector myself, its definitely different than the '06 GV remote Aux connector (US Model).

If it is (which I doubt a little), the wires should run back to the head-unit somewhere. In that case, you maybe able to identify them back at the head-unit harness via the color codes.

funk, too bad. The connector is not there in yours. It is on mine, though, next to the cnet connector. We must have different clarion models. I have not really looked at the model number in my radio because i did not remove it. The manual says 2657 / 59 but i really do not know which one i have.

sorry,

Maybe its that small connector after all, if it goes into the head unit. If it does, what I would do is just grab a a 1.5 K ohm resistor and start jumping pins. Press the CD button on the stereo and see if the display goes "AUX"

cheers

Cheers Gonza.

It is very annoying of Clarion to do this

I would be interested if the pinouts are the same as this for the Canadian '08 SX4, and if not, in what way does it differ.

If the UK Swifts have a Panasonic head unit, does anyone know what CD changer would fit? suzuki-shop sell them for £217 which seems expensive just for the changer part. Maybe I could get a stand-alone changer box from eBay?

Default Telephone??

I Have 06' GV Indonesian Version
I forgot the Clarion Unit Serial number but it has white connector.
I followed the instruction above..but unfortunately it won't work.
HU wouldn't change to AUX mode even using resistor 1.5K ohm between Trigger 1 and Trigger 2 pin.
But if those 2 pin directly connect w/o resistor, HU change to Telephone mode. What is Telephone mode anyway??

Funk, I checked the Clarion on my AU 2006 Swift and I only have the black CeNET connector as well.

The whole situation is pretty smelly - the early Clarion HU's can not play MP3/WMA and do not have an AUX plug. This means you must buy the EA1251 + iPod or CeNET stacker to play a decent sounding library of music.

I don't know if the newer Clarion HU's in the current Swifts have AUX plugs but since they can now play MP3/WMA, it's not really required.
