Default Which springs and shocks?

Hi there people

I want to lower my swift and want to know what springs and shocks to go for.
What have you used and how do you find the combination you have used?
I mean how firm are they and how is the ride affected?
Was there any issues involved?
What would you reccommend?
Any feedback would be greatly apprieciated

thanks Steve

Alright there mate,

There is a discussion about this on Swift Owners, think you should check it out:

Thanks Jamz

I did already have a look at that thread a while back. We have quite a few options for springs here in Australia. But as a forum member told me handling with the stock shocks coupled with stiffer lower springs is less than ideal so what options do we have for aftermarket shocks? Has anyone got any ideas?

Thanks Steve

My only suggestion would be try at Swiftowners as they seem to have the most people involved in lowering etc etc. Don't have a clue myself I'm afraid and there isn't much talk on this site about that sort of stuff.

Cheers

Derek

Thanks lilbza

Yeah been there too! Has some awesome stuff in the shock department but pricey. They have fully adjustable,( ride height and dampening force ) shocks for about $1100 Guess you get what you pay for, huh! Apart from the suzuki stuff there is no other shock absorbers being made yet for the swift. Guess we will just have to wait or fork out the $$$

theres also other ones on there. Adjustable coilovers for $700. You can adjust the dampening, to suit the comfort of the ride, but not the height. Thats all you really need if you get the right springs. Theres no point in paying the extra $400 for adjustable height. The $700 coilovers are perfect for the price, considering you pay $450 just to get your car lowered with just lowered springs.

Good point. $700 for coilovers is a good price. I've seen coilovers for bigger cars sell for $1800.
