I didnt like the idea of loosing the steering wheel controls,so I have made/built in another DVD/CD/Mp3 head unit underneath the oem head unit,in the empty space where the cigarette lighter was.I have also fitted a rear view mirror LCD and back up camera.
My install is almost complete (I will gladly post pictures).I am connecting the speaker outputs of the DVD/MP3 player onto to the oem Head unit but I have come to a standstill because I cant identify the + and - on the wires!I dismantled all the the door panels to see the colour of the wires but these dont match the colour on the back of the oem head unit.Anyone know this information or where I can get a wiring diagram for a 2005 Swift...THANKS

Great info K3vink,but I still have an interference problem when I connected the my dvd player to the speaker outputs on the back of the oem head unit.I noticed the head unit still gets hot when I have the dvd player on, eventhough the head unit is turned off.
I get mõre interference the higher the I turn up the volume!
The solution is to weld a diode on the head units and the dvd player speaker outputs as this way the signal will be one way only and no more heating up the oem head unit.....

Just coming in on the back of this thread,

I own a 2006 GV which like the Swift has a Panasonic HU installed (the mother-in law has a 2006 Swift and I have checked both units). I have been searching for weeks now looking for the pin-out details for the CD changer connector on the back of the PACR01/02 unit and it was by pure luck that I came accross this thread.
The pin-out details supplied by 'powers1' is good for the main radio feed but does not cover the CD changer unit, anyone got this info?

By the way for all those with Clarion units (America/Canada etc), one of the lads on the 2006 GV site has made up a lead for an iPod/MP3 which connects to a factory connector under the dash. Great reports from all who have used it.

Quote:
All of the 2006 Suzuki Products from Japan (GV,XL_7 and Aerio) have an AUX input prewired under the dash. You do not need a CD changer for it to work, it does not require the use of the ce-net.

It Requires a special adaptor cable to active it and tell the stereo something is attached.

Suzuki does not offer this cable.. but.. I have figured out the circuit required to active the input.

I now have cables available for anyone interested. It has a plug, with the circuit built in to activate the "AUX" option on the deck, and fits into the factory connector under the dash . The cable is about 3.5 feet long and has a 3.5mm male stereo plug on the end

Once the cable is installed, you can press the CD/AUX button and it will cycle between the 2 options and the Display will say "AUX LOW". If you press the Seek up or down, it will change the input gain from "Low"- "MID"- "HI"

It takes less then 5 minutes to install. I have tested this in all models and it works perfectly.
Follow this link http://www.suzuki-forums.com/2g-2006...aux-input.html for more info.
