hi pple!
i'm a newbie and went to test-drive the new swift today!
I like the car, but could someone tell me why i shud buy this car rather than the more popular brands like Toyota & honda?
Any owners out there?? Wud appreciate a good and objective opinion! Thx!

IMHO, the SGP road is filled with toyota and honda..... and most of the toyota are made in thailand. honda, if u are looking @ city and accord, they are also manufactured in thailand. (i think the jazz/fit is assembled in taiwan?, civic, unsure, last heard done up in thailand too.)

the swift is JDM. and i prefer a JDM

Im a proud owner of a new swift im from australia and i love the car. :P
I wouldnt part with mine either. Suzuki is prob one of the best quality cars around and the faetures in the new swift are good for the price you pay for it.
I'm 20 years of age on my P plates and the car does everything i want it to and it bloody looks good to. cant wait to get some mags already replaced the front grill with silver mesh looks like the rally car mine does now. I also got kashmir blue i think its the best colour u can get.

hi there,

in terms of looks, the car looks cool even in standard form. Agreed that it has personality and cld pass off as a fashion icon. Plus it has a pedigree of involvement in motorsports something like the Subaru Impreza and the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo.

The handles well in corners and the engine is quite. It also has adequate torque for accelleration too. In future the car is potential for upgrading in terms of bodykits or larger wheels.

In short, i was supposed to conviced my couzin to buy the car, and due to all the points mentioned above (though not exhaustive), i end up getting convicing myself and purchasing the car so now i cant stop staring at my new swift and enjoy the pleasure of driving....

You got a good taste when it comes to cars
Myself iīve got a pearl supreme red one.
About the quality i donīt know because iīve just driven 40 km.
I had a black 1998 Nissan Micra before and i was getting a new Micra but i couldnīt stand the looks on the new Micra so i ended up with this car.

Hello there...my ladyand i just got the swift and drove for 19 kms... i love the car but there seems to be a little rattling noise coming from the front in the passenger side when you start to move.. my girl has not noticed it but i have..i dont know if any of you had the same problem... also i would like to know how can i hook up a stacker that plays mp3 to the head unit..besides the fm modulated ones...i looked through the stereo's clarion's intructions but it does not tell you if you can use normal rca cables or you need a clarion stacker..we have a mp3 unit in our car..mitsubishi lancer who is soon to be gone....and in one cd you can have about 300 songs... so its very convenient....thanks for your help

hi dcervante13,

i had similar problem when i first got my car. Its was a soft rattling sound came from the right handside of the vehicle due to slight dislocated of the spring from the front absober. It was rectified by the local service dealer here.

today i was putting a badge on the lower grill and one the butterfly screww that holds fell to the bottom and couldn see or touch it.. to my surprise the bottom of the car was sealed... after like 4 hrs plaing around with a mirror and a magnet attached to a cloth hanger i managed to get the thing out...it was one of those japan automotive federation badges..i managed to put it on at the end with much care...everyone be careful you drop something in there..you may never see it...
