I rarley drive the XL7 anymore it's more the wifes little jeep, she said there was a noise when she turned, looked underneath and sure enough the stabilier bar links are shot, and there is a bit to much play in the bushings so that will be the project for next weekend, also the serpentine belts look like the are due.

will let you all know how hard/easy it is!
Damn!Suzuki wants almost $140.00 for just the 2 links i can order all the pieces from the U.S with shipping for under a hundred ,with the exchange and duty it will still be cheper than just buying the 2 links here!!!!!!!!!!!should get the pieces next week!Oh i already have the serpentine belts!
Lifted her today and noticed the u-joints have a bit too much play in them and are starting to bind up,changed the 2 in front, now they are nice and soild, took out the one for the rear only to find out the new one is too small(DAMIT)should get the right one tomorrow,Hardest part is getting out the old u-joints but the 50ton press made short work of that(grin). The belt around the altenator was a breeze,it was the other bugger that gave me a hard time but they are both in and next week hopefully i will get the pieces for the stabilizer bar.
I 2nd your opinion on the pwr strg / air con belt. Tightened mine up yesterday.
You DO know that the adjustment pulley has a 10 mm hex hole for pretensioning / tightening purposes, right? I didn't know it the first time I went in there. It makes it a LITTLE easier to adjust the belt.

I had pretty good luck using this ratchet w/its built in handle extension. That allowed the handle to poke out straight above and btwn the fan blades. But I STILL needed to use a regular wrench (attacking from around the pwr strg pump side and up) to them damn bolts for part of the procedure.
My hex allen fit in w/the handle pointed straight up though. With a short length of metal tubing slipped over it, I was able to tension and hold the adjuster from above while tightening the bolts.
Here's a better pic of the idler / tension pulley (with the fan and shroud removed) for those who may still be wondering what we're up against.

i finally got all my parts in,i did order the stuff for the stabilizer bar from here
https://www.trademotion.com/partloca...18&catalogid=1
the shipping was good , service was good but they over charged me by $1000.00 which they are supposed to be giving me back(i'll keep you all posted).I had to cut off the old links as they would not come off ,the bushings were easy to do,i also had to replace a seal on the downpipe where it meets the cat,had to get a new spring kit and bolt as i had to cut one out, and the other was in pretty bad shape(was not counting on a new spring kit it cost me $50.00 at Zuki) ,next job will be the front brakes but they are good for now!
