Default How to replace cabin Filter

I have my xl7 for 3 years now , when I start my AC I can smell moisture when AC start running.Cabin filter never was replaced I now it is hiden in glowe department but air bag is just above .Do I need to disconect batery ?

No you don't really. You aren't going to be working everywhere close to the air bag to worry.
Pull the glove box out. (Open it, tilt down. Squeeze both sides of it inwards till it pops down. Pull the small dampener off the right side of the glove box so it can tilt down all the way.) Look straight in and you'll see a black cover. Unclip it at the bottom (one clip on each bottom side). Pull the cover off and slide the filter straight out. Take care not to dump anything into the heater box or you'll have to pull the blower motor out to clean any debris out of it.

Very easy job - 5mins your first time and 30 seconds after that!

I did mine yesterday. The filter isn't close to the airbag module and the only "electrical" thing I had to do was move a loom to one side in order to remove the filter.

So it's overkill unless you're really "ham fisted" !
