Default Fuel Pump Replace

I am having problems and I think it's the fuel tank 2001 GV 112,000 had the fuel filter changed and no codes and all plugs etc are good. I have the owner's manuel for detailed working on it and I cannot find out how to change fuel pumps.
Is it that hard or is there anywhere here that has a detailed diy
Thanks
Bob

Just what is the problem. No start?

The pump is IN the tank, which you have to drop to access it.

Can you hear the pump run when you first turn the ignition key to the "run" position?

Have you checked for fuel pressure at the fuel rail? Pump fuse, relay and wiring?

Do you mean the SERVICE Manual? If so, troubleshooting and repair / replacement should be in there.

Your subject line says pump, your post says tank - which is it? And the owner's manual doesn't provide much detail for working on the vehicle, unless you're referring to the service manual.

The service manual provices a number of pressure tests to determine if the pump is defective, once you have done those and are certain the pump needs to be replaced, you'll need to drop the fuel tank to get to it.
