I wasn't sure if the fuel lines had those special connectors but I did as you suggested and it looks like the old style 2 ear clamps so the job should be fairly easy. Thanks again Max but it's not as hard as dropping a kidney ;-)
Good news Max the Delco fuel pump I ordered from flee bay was a direct drop in pump. No wire splicing, no rube goldberg mounting the only thing I used from the kit was the pump and new filter. So this is good news for tracker owners and it was only $49.99 and free shipping great deal!!!!!
No not yet it took all my strength to get the tank out. I'm still a little weak after the 2 surgery's in a months time but I intend to reassemble it tomorrow. It's just a matter of bolting the fuel pump assy. to the tank, reinstalling the hoses and remounting the tank. It should take about 5-10 minutes
Don't kill yourself in the process Bill. It's just a vehicle!
Seriously, take it slow and easy and get some help with setting the tank back in place.
I'm good because I never let my wife know I'm under the vehicle when it's on jacks I do appreciate you concern though that's why I broke up the work over a few days. It sucks getting old
Actually my best and dear friend is in the hospital right now recovering from major spinal surgery where they had to take some hip bone to do the repairs and fusions. We almost lost him several times right after the surgery last week and on top of that his MS complicates the whole thing. He was in recovery for several hours which foretold the complications. He's doing well now and we're hoping he's healed enough for our Mexico trip in April. But back to business I'll keep you abreast of my progress.
Well Max I KNOW what it ain't .......fuel pump. I let it warm up for about 5min and drove it around the block and about half way home and it stared carrying on. Again if it went over 2,000rpm the motor and tach would go nuts. I haven't coded it yet but again I don't think it threw a code. Once I got it parked it stalled and wouldn't start again.
