Question Low oil pressure @ idle...?

2001 Chevy Tracker....

I replaced timing chains after guide came apart and damaged components....
Now engine low oil pressure light is coming on at idle, is there any hope?

Thanks

And I'd verify the actual pressure with an independent gauge too. You may simply have a faulty sender or wiring connection issue.

Because it is designed as a one time use part, having said that if it shows no damage and is a good fit!!.

I have reused with CAUTION (leaks oil/pressure)...

Confirm your pressure with gauge..... Philip

So you're saying that you've reused them, but they did leak? Or they may leak?

Mine was okay... Not really sure how they could get damaged...

How about the oil pressure relief valve in the top of head... Have those been known to stick open or cause any troubles...?

Thanks

John

Originally, the oil pressure switch was leaking, I imagine this leak is what caused my timing chain problems to begin with, I purchased the car, cheap, with the timing chain issue... I replaced all timing chain components and then I found the oil leak....

Anyhow, after replacing timing parts, and changing oil.... I test drove vehicle, all was fine until it was up to operating temperature... Then, at idle, light started flickering.... Then, I found leak at switch and replaced switch... So, flickering has occurred with two switches..

I still need to see what my actual pressure is...

Thanks
