Default 02 grand vitara mass air flow sensor?

have an 02 suzuki grand vitara 2.5.have a ck engine light come on had autozone pull a code yesterday said mass air flow sensor.was hoping to just buy some airflow cleaner and of course this doesnt have the normal type mass air flow sensor as most cars.seems like this one is an actual sensor,if anyone can help where exactly this is im pretty sure its right on the throttle body,am i able to clean it or anything is the actual sensor just done cuz its kinda expensive like $160 and 60 core.the light goes out every now and then and cuts off every now and then,if any1 has a link to a better pricedo ne online that may help as well thanks

yea i blew out the connector and the connecter side of the sensor should u pull it off and ck out the inside area and clean that?i bought some of the mass air flow clearner expecting to have a normal type one not sure if i still need to use that or just with a rag.thanks

The MAF cleaner is essentially an aerosol that is used to "wash" any contaminants off of the sensor (not the connector) - I would suggest you not touch the sensor itself.

soo take the 2 screws off and clean the inside part with the cleaner?and is there a good tool any1 knows off to getot the bottom screw,i only have basic tools with me kind of a pain to get to that 1 thanks

on this 2.5 the airbox duct that goes up under the strut bar,when u pop that off the engine side is that the mass air flow sensor?or is there just a sensor.problem is the duct wont come out enough under the strut bar to do anything if that is the maf to clean.thanks

The MAF is buried, attached to the throttle body.

See vol 2 of 2 in the Service manual, H25 section here...

so anotherwards if its pulling a code i should try the sensor 1st with the 2 screws

replaced the sensor w 2 screws and to no avail same problem,bogging down basically maybe even worse,light is still on any ideas?

Have it re-scanned and give us the code (codes?).
