Depends. Where are you located? North American sourced GV's didn't get the 2.5 until 1999 and then they were OBD2 as all of our vehicles have been since 1996.

I suspect that you are elsewhere in the world (Euro or Japan made Zuk?), and scanning may be an issue. There are searchable threads explaining your options.

PM (personal message option) Bex and Rhinoman, both UK ECU / electronics experts on Zuki's and invite them to chime in here.

For the GV the only tools that I know of are mine and the official Suzuki Tech 2 or SDT dealer only tools. The 2.5V6 isn't fully mapped yet although I believe that I do have an ECU for one somewhere in my pile that I caould run tests on. You can order my interface here:

Whereabouts in the UK are you?

A bit of a distance from me but I have an ECU from an H25 on the bench so I can do a lot of the address mapping myself.

Thanks Rhinoman

Maybe i should wait for your report, as i only want to read the codes because of the intermitant check engine light coming on, and too be honest im not quite sure if i know how to do that. or perhaps a few tips from yourself i could get through.

Regards

Kev

You can pull codes using the Check Engine Light by installing a wire jumper in the monitor coupler under the bonnet. Its a bit difficult to get the codes while driving so its best to have someone else looking over your shoulder

Check Engine Light
