Default would a Peugeot starter motor fit

my starter has started going intermittent def not wiring as all checked and all good.
grand vitaras here are a bit hard to find but plenty of Peugeot's.
if i found a 2 liter hdi the rhz one in a pug would the starter fit my jeep.
could be talking £15 if it does if it don't i could say close to £100 lol
mine is the rhz engine

Why not just get the one you've got rebuilt instead of taking a chance on the fit and condition of a (I presume) used starter?

A set of brushes, a turned commutator, the bearing / bushing replaced if needed and a new solenoid...and you should be golden.

I agree with max. What if the other starter does not fit? Then u have wasted all your $$ and time with the install

I see no reason why the Peugeot 2.0 HDI starter would not be the same but I agree with the others, if it is a used one in unknown condition than it's hardly worth the labor to install. A rebuilt unit would be fine, just make sure you can return it if for some reason it's not the correct fit.

That starter looks to be the same as the one on my RHW too, if that helps.
