Default Remote Power Locks

Is there a way to program my 99 Chevy Tracker 4-door to blink the lights and toot the horn when I operate the remote lock? I never had an owner's manual for that beast.

My 99' Zuki GV (w/factory alarm) operates just that way!

I'll try and find where those options are selectable, but I don't recall seeing them posted.

You've got a "Valet" rocker style switch (left of the steering wheel) and it is in the off (down) position, right?

Your horn beeps normally from the steering wheel, correct?

I've been all through this alarm manual and it appears that at LEAST the lights should blink, regardless.

About the horn function, the book says...
"If you choose to have the horn chirp signal deleted at the time of vehicle delivery, alarm arm and disarm will be identified by flashing lights only. If you wish to have the horn chirp signal activated contact your Suzuki dealer"

Not sure what else to tell you.

You could try and reprogam the remotes in hopes that it will reset the brain box maybe?

Max, Thanks much for looking into this for me. Evidently Chevy is different than Zuki.

No valet switch. Only the cruise power button and remote mirror control.

Horn works correctly

Lights do not blink when locks are actuated.

I don't have an owners manual so have no idea how to reprogram the remotes.

Hmmm. Well ya' know what? Since you don't have the Valet switch, then you don't have an alarm system. I should have asked earlier as that was the path I took. You've got the standard remote door lock / unlock, but the alarm part was another (additional) option.

I installed my OE factory alarm after the fact. There is info here if you care to read it.

Here is the fob reprogramming info too. It may be the same as your Tracker.

I'll look in my owners manual for any info on just the remote door locking features though.

I've looked in the Service and Owners Manuals. Nothing jumps out at me about the remote lock / unlock door system. All I was able to find is the info from the Security System manual which I posted earlier. Sorry.
