Owners Manual-FREE!

As I previously posted, I just bought a new to me 2000 Grand Vitara.

Unfortunately, there is no manual, and I've looked all over and am a bit shy to pay $25.00 for one. I decided to call Suzuki Customer Service (1-800-934-0934). They told me that all I have to do is give them the VIN number and they'll send me one for free! They also looked up the car and told us that one of the recalls syill needs to be done and directed us to the nearest Suzuki Dealer for the free recall.

I'm a happy camper, and my manual is in the mail.

That's great info on the manuals!

Was that a throttle cable recall by chance? If so, I'm surprised yours lasted this long. They were a snappin' pretty regular on folks early on.

Great post, as I was just about to order one today online. Called the Customer Service and they verified VIN #, it has no recalls on it and it should arrive within' a week. Thanks again for a great link-

Still waiting for the manual to show up. I called them again with the reference number i was given by them the first time, verified they had my correct address (they did) and will wait until Monday to see if it shows. I'll continue to keep all posted...

Still no owners manual!!!!

They said it shipped on the 2nd of October and I should have received it. Well I did not receive it yet, and so they are shipping another one. I guess I cannot complain to much as it is free, just would be nice to see it though

Finally received it the other night in the mail. While it did take a bit longer than I htought, I have itr and am very happy...
