Cool headlights low beam not working

Hello all,

Both low beams headlights and daylights of my Grand Vitara 1999 are not working since a little time.

I went to the my dealer but he couldn't figure out what was the problem after he spent 8 hours working on the wiring, looking for the source of the problem... Costly and still no solution.

I read the indications given for a Suzuki Esteem, but the descriptions doesn't seam to match my car:

The position lights (at the front as well as at the rear) also stay on after turning off the lights (the hight beams still work btw). But I just have to turn them on and off again to have this resolved. This car is equipped with a day light sensors that seams to work as well, since I we still can hear its "click" when going under a viaduct or a tunnel... However the lights don't turn on.

Could anyone help?

I would look to the ignition switch (as headlight power flows thru it I believe) and/or the headlight switch..

I had this problem in my 99 tracker, I found that the Daytime Running Lamp module under the drivers side dash was loose, I actually got them working when I was a bit upset and kicked my foot. I have since secured the module. My particular problem stemmed from a bad install of a remote starter.
