Get both front wheels in the air by putting it up on floor jacks or stands. rotote each wheel and listen for noise.not just in the wheel bearings but in the cv joints. put it in park or gear .grab each axle and twist each direction. you will feel the transmission ,where it holds the wheel . now twist the other way and feel for play . you should have less than 1/2 inch. if you feel play , either a cv axle is going bad or a final drive bearing in the transmission. if the noise is a droning or whining i would think its in the trans. if it is a grinding or intermittent , i would think its in the axle.

yes we have done this and thats why we dont think it is the wheel bearing on the passenger side, will try the CV joints,hope it is not the gearbox, are these cars generally quite
