Default possible issue?

Hey,

When I first start my Tracker, it puts out a puff of white smoke. It does have a little odor, it doesn't smell sweet or anything, but you can tell its from a car. It only does it for a few seconds, and then it's gone. It seems to idle fine; it's kind of rough when I come to a stop, but then it revs up smooth. I don't see any leaks, the fluids seem to be where they should be, and there's no over heating. The guy I bought it from said the engines do tend to smoke a little when cold, but I don't know; he's put alot into this thing, so I'm sure he took care of it. It does have 140,000 miles on it, so maybe it's just getting old? Any suggestions would be awesome, thanks.
