High Mileage
Hi Folks, New to this forum. Coupla quick questions.
Just bought an 05 Forenza. 195k for mileage. All highway as far as I can tell. Barely any wear on on any of the pedal rubbers ( manual trans). Valve train inspection shows no sludge, so I am assuming good oil change habits of previous owner. Car is quiet and tight and everything works. Actually rides like new!! No oil leaks. Immaculate interior. I replaced rotors and pads right away as they were shot. Also redid parking brake shoes and hardware as they were also shot. I do all my own auto maintenance and was wondering if I would need a manual to change timing belt, water pump and tensioner, or is the process similar to most OHC engines? Some of the clips for the door mouldings have broken, are these available or do they come with the mouldings? Anyways, as far as I can tell, there is many more miles left in this car.
