We would go out under the street lamps with our baseballs and gloves. We would throw the ball straight up in the air, and as it fell back down to our waiting gloves the bat(s) would follow the ball back down and we would get nice close (but extremely brief) looks at them. And on occasion a very thrilling brush on the forehead by a wing tip.
Thanks for sharing Ole-Boy, I haven't thought about those ball chasing bats in years.
