check level running.
if it is over filled ,it can foam up . and when it does that, foaming oil can starve bearings. staved bearings die a quick death.
never over fill any machine.
all is ok,the boat people all know your pain and out comes the dip stick draining device.
ask any boat shop.
as you may know , draining a V8/V6 inboard or I/O in a boat is a real PITA.
