Automatic Transmission Fluid Check
1991 Suzuki Sidekick
Do I check the transmission fluid level with the engine running or with the engine 'off'?
Do I check it in 'Park' or 'Neutral'?
Also, what damage can be done if overfilled.
My dipstick has 4 notches in it. Two for max. and min. while cold, and two for max. and min. while hot.
I have noticed that while checking my fluid while in 'Park' with engine running, the level is well above the max. notch for hot.
However, when the engine has just been turned off, and the fluid is hot, the level is showing just at the max. notch.
