My alternator belt shredded so I replaced both. I'm getting the squealing a/c as well. I've tighted it as much as I can and it looks like I don't have any more travel in the tensioner to make it tighter...and it still squeals. I bought the cheap belt and am wondering if I should have bought the more expensive one. Anyone think a more expensive belt will make a difference?
