dont assume.
id say (data) that 1/4 dead fuel pumps are bad fuel pumps actual.
#1 clogged filter and if not changed kills the next pump dead.
#2 bad connections.

the pressure test port is on the filter , next to front edge of tank.
30psi is typical.
the pump only runs for 3 seconds, each key on.
listen at filler cap. for buzzzzzz
stop.
during cranking and running it runs full time.
that is why you dont want to dead head it. with a clogged filter.
