your 90 is the worst.
it has a stand alone dizzy. makes its own spark and advance.
and that is correct the MS has a serious lack of extra output drivers.
you have to grow your own drivers , and screw them to the lid and then wire them to the spare TTL digital ports. when done , its a rats nests.
I needed 2 rats nest drivers , one for ISC, one for cold start Dash pot.
The MS has the INJECTOR PWM drive. and is fully programmable for this.
one must learn the dead times and all that first. there is a huge write up on this , online.
If you take dizzy apart and find how to get the signal out of the cmp and as Rhino said
and feed this signal into the MS2.
(needs to be scoped so you an find out if it is hall output or VR)
if VR ,then you need an amp.
if hall , it will drive the MS no problem ,(91 + is grounding driver so you invert input to MS2 in software.
the output of the MS drives the coil. no changes. On board driver.
i have charts for all the sensors. and the MS takes the data points you give and
then interpolates the full data block.
no need to put on GM sensors.
we have the data for them, in fact all , except the MAF.
The Dizzy, it is a 2 component CMP, one part is VR/Hall? and the next is the coil driver attached. NO docs. on this.
best is to scope it and ask for help for what you see.
if you see square wave. its HALL. (91+ has buffer inside hall device)
if you see gutless weak, wiggles, VR. TELL US ! love to know.
or , use MS for only FI and no spark. (needs sense line for tacho which you have)
the early MS did only that.
hope that helps you.
