92 , dont fail the EGR code 51?
yours my have an older ECU?
some years, do in fact not have EGR tests .
starting in 91 , it was lax, then as each year proceeded it got harder.
and all calif versions are real strict.
there are vast numbers of ECU's for 16v motor (WW) and which one you have is any wonder.
there are some Canadian ECUs that do not have code 51.
And other makets too, E01 , runs with out cat or EGR. (E01 = pure jap generic market code, whick i call a SLICK)
I have an 91 8v ECU that does not throw code 51.
YMMV.
I mean your EGR may vary. YEMV ! haheheheheh
your 94/95 will for sure not like it (if you had a 95) because they adopted the Calif. rules in 94 ECUS.
the fed cars , adopted the Calif rules for EGR. sad but true.
as you see it is complex.
