Check engine light on , no power ( i.e press the gas and it doesn't move )
also had a code P0703 brake switch circuit malfunction ) there may or may not be additional codes, if your wiring checks out ( i.e good continuity, voltage is ok , battery is good ) the TCM may be bad.
Don't be so hasty. There's a TSB from Suzuki regarding that code. If you work at a shop of some sort, you'll have access to TSB's most likely:
Quote:
TSB No. TS 02 11075
CONDITION: Automatic Transmission DTC P0703 is present.
CAUSE: Service brake is not applied. If the service brake is not applied when checking an automatic transmission DTC, the TCM automatically sets a DTC P0703. This is a normal operating condition of the TCM.
CORRECTION: If a DTC P0703 is present when checking the Automatic Transmission DTCs apply the service brake. The DTC should disappear. If the DTC does not disappear follow the troubleshooting flow chart in the appropriate Service Manual.
NOTE:
The DTC P0703 will not illuminate the MIL. If the MIL is illuminated there should be other DTCs present.
If you're using the Tech2 scan tool to look at the TCM DTC's on the Verona, be aware the software on the Tech2 will very often not display all the DTC's present. What you're describing sounds much more like the transmission range sensor failure like arey09 had wrong...most likely P0705.
